Aitken and Ferraro Recalled from Providence

BOSTON (April 5, 2000) - The Boston Bruins announced today that forward Peter Ferraro and defenseman Johnathan Aitken have been recalled from Providence (AHL) to replace forward Jay Henderson (knee tendinitis) and defenseman Darren Van Impe (mild concussion) in the Bruins lineup.
Henderson and Van Impe were injured in last night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bruins are in Florida to face the Panthers tonight in a 7:30 p.m. game (UPN-38 TV/WBZ Radio).

For Ferraro, it will be his second stint of the season in Boston, having played two scoreless games during his first recall, November 9-12. He led the AHL Bruins in scoring with 21-25=46 totals and 98 penalty minutes in 48 games prior to today's recall. Aitken is expected to make his NHL debut tonight. He had 2-12=14 totals with 121 penalty minutes in 70 Providence games this season.
